Ambos Mundos

An elegant hotel harking back to a more gracious time, Ambos Mundos was built in the 1920's. Its most famous guest was Ernest Hemingway, who stayed in the hotel from 1932-1939. Tourists can visit his room - 511 - where he wrote his most famous novel, "For Whom the Bell Tolls". Climate
The tropical climate means that you can enjoy Cuba most of the year around. The hot, rainy season runs from May to October but winter (December to April) is the island's peak tourist season.
Cubans take their holidays in July and August, so this is the time to mingle with the locals on their beaches.
Fiesta and celebration periods are during Christmas, Easter and the period around 26 July, when Cubans celebrate the anniversary of the revolution.
