Climate
There are no absolute rules in this equatorial climate - it is mostly warm, except in the highlands, and divided into wet and dry periods which vary by area. The weather is spring-like most of the year in Quito and the central highlands. The highlands° dry season (the best time for hiking and climbing) is June to September. The Amazon region is wet and hot all year round, but especially from June to September.
